How It Works

A Path To Independence

The Faith House Transitional Housing Program partners with the Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission as a pathway for the homeless in our community to achieve independence. The transitional housing program incentivizes independence from the need for charity by building on the foundation established through residency at GRM.

The Pathway to Independence Program at GRM

Building The Foundation

The journey to Faith House begins with residency at the Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission. During their stay, residents participate in the Pathway to Independence Program.

Upon intake, residents meet with a program coordinator who works with each individual to identify the key reasons why they are homeless. Through the program, barriers to independence are eliminated. These barriers can include: drug and alcohol addiction, mental and physical health issues, lack of ID or birth certificate, and relationship issues. Each month, the resident is evaluated on their progress. As long as the resident is following the Mission rules and making steady progress toward independence, they may be granted an additional month of residency. At each review, new goals are made. As goals are met, residents get one step closer to independence.
